Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM
Happy Thursday evening, everyone!
Cooler air has moved into Central Oregon dropping our temperatures. We’re seeing breezy conditions out of the northwest around 30 miles per hour as a dry cold front moves through the region. Just a few clouds are expected overnight with mostly clear skies overhead. Hazy conditions will be overhead as we’re still looking at smoke from the wildfires. Air quality levels are hovering between “good” and “moderate”.
Overnight lows will be cool in the low to mid 40s. Locations in higher elevations or closer to a body of water will see lows in the upper 30s. I would cover up plants you’re concerned about.
Tomorrow begins with mostly sunny skies and on a chilly note. Temperatures will start in the mid to upper 40s, which is a little below average. We’ll warm into the upper 70s and lower 80s, which is much cooler than what we’ve seen recently. Expect mostly sunny skies with some hazy conditions.
This weekend will see mostly sunny skies and a gradual warming trend. Highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s for Saturday. Sunday will see highs back to average in the mid to upper 80s.
Next week the heat returns with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s by Monday. Our hottest day of the week is looking to be Wednesday with highs in the mid to upper 90s.
