Snow Report: January 11th

Several feet of new snow in some areas of the Cascades with more significant snow on the way likely Friday night going into Saturday morning. A Winter Storm Warning is in place along the east slopes of the Cascades and including LaPine and Sunriver until 4am Sunday due to possible snow accumulations of up to 5 feet and gusts as high as 60mph. Travel in the area could be difficult to impossible with extremely reduced visibility and cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero which can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
