Snow Report

Well, the spring thaw is underway. It will be a beautiful weekend on the slopes, but with these warm temperatures the bases are dwindling. Mt. Bachelor does “highly recommend” staying on the groomed trails. Don’t forget about their shortened hours: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. They also recommend an early arrival to take advantage of

Clear skies and warm temperatures have made for beautiful conditions on the mountain. Even overnight lows have remained above freezing, so bases are soft. Mt. Bachelor is under limited operations, from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Expect to see another nice day in the mountains today. Timberline and Mt. Bachelor are the only two resorts still operating for the season, and Mt. Bachelor is on spring ski hours, only running from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm. Have a sparkling day on the slopes!

These warmer days do take their toll on the snow bases at those resorts that remain open, but no one complains about the beautiful conditions at either Mt. Bachelor or Timberline. Keep in mind that Timberline does have some limited operations and Mt. Bachelor is operating a few chairs from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.

The mountain roads are in great shape this morning, but you must still carry chains or traction tires when crossing the passes. Timberline Lodge still has 141″ of snow and they are operating under somewhat limited conditions. Mt. Bachelor has a 46″ base at the lodge and will be operating some lifts from 8:30 am

There’s no new snow to report, although Mt. Hood’s Timberline could see some fresh powder this weekend.
