C. Oregon Tour Of Homes Dazzles Crowds
It’s the end of Week 1 for the 23rd annual Central Oregon Tour of Homes, and organizers say so far the tour has been very successful.
The two-weekend show, put on by the Central Oregon Builders Association, is showcasing 39 homes, ranging in price from $150,000 to $2 million.
It gives people a chance to not only marvel at $1 million houses, but compare their own pad and see what’s new in the construction world, like this year’s unique treat — a “net zero” house using only solar energy.
Despite a shaky real estate market right now, those involved in the show say it’s going very well this year.
“You know, people really enjoy this, and we try to make that there’s a variety in size of home, price of home, features of home. And it’s all of Central Oregon and that’s so nice,” Sandy Garner, owner of the Garner Group, said Sunday
“I think the lure is to see whats going on in the architectural world and to compare my home to these newer homes and get some ideas as far as maybe decorating or landscaping,” said Bend resident and tour attendee Anne Klein.
The show runs again next weekend, July 22-24 — and the best part, it’s completely free.
