The Redmond Municipal Airport will conduct its triennial full scale disaster drill on Thursday. It is estimated to begin at 8:30 A.M. at the Terminal building.

The Airport activity portion of the drill is anticipated to last for approximately 2 hours. This triennial full scale disaster drill is required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The drill will be a simulated aircraft incident including actors with mock injuries. Responders and participants will include many Central Oregon agencies, including: fire, law enforcement, hospitals and air ambulances.

The drill will not impact scheduled airline operations. The public and traveling passengers should be advised that this is a scheduled drill. The Airport will have signs placed that a drill is in progress.
