Bend council sets special meeting on Climate Action Policy

The Bend City Council is holding a special meeting at 4:30 p.m. onThursday, July 21, at Council Chambers, City Hall, 710 NW Wall Street, to hear input from interested stakeholders and individuals on the creation of aClimateActionPolicy for the city of Bend.

The proposed resolution can be found in the “spotlight” section on the front ofwww.bendoregon.govor by clickinghere.

Before councilors make any decisions about a policy, they want to hear from the community. Interested participants can speak in person at the hearing onThursday.

Council Chambers will open at 4 p.m. and the session will start at 4:30 p.m. with an introduction and summary of the process to date.

Council has requested to hear from environmental and business organizations and external agencies first. Individuals can speak after the organizations. Individuals can sign up to speak throughout the evening, but it’s recommended that individuals be signed up by 6:30 p.m.

Those who cannot attend the hearing can still provide input by emailing the Council atcouncil@bendoregon.gov.
