Brown orders flags to half-staff to mark Pearl Harbor anniversary
Governor Kate Brown on Tuesday ordered all flags at Oregon public institutions to be flown at half-staff to recognize the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Flags should be lowered until sunset on Wednesday, Dec. 7.
“The 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor marks a significant milestone in U.S. and world history,” Brown said. “This year’s anniversary should be recognized throughout Oregon as a reminder of the years of peace and healing shared by the people of the U.S. and Japan.”
