Ridgeview baseball falls in first round; Ridgeview softball faces Bend in quarterfinals; Summit baseball shuts out Hood River

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- On Tuesday, the 5A baseball and softball playoffs began. Three Central Oregon teams competed at home, and two of the games were at Ridgeview High School.

Ridgeview baseball kicked off the night against Dallas. Despite a strong start, the Ravens could not hold off the Dallas offense. Dallas beat Ridgeview 11-10 to end the Ravens' season early.

Over at the softball field, the No. 1 Ravens continued to do what they do best: pitch. That all starts with pitcher Brezlyn Hagemeister. Brezlyn only allowed one run through seven innings, and the Ravens won 2-1 over North Eugene thanks to a two-RBI double from Hailey Nelson in the fourth inning. Ridgeview hosts Bend High on Friday.

Summit baseball was lights out Tuesday night. The Storm shut out Hood River Valley and move on to the quarterfinals, where they will host Dallas at home on Friday.
