Mt. Bachelor launches new year-round pass

KTVZ

Mt. Bachelor, known primarily for decades as a ski and snowboard resort, has been building up its non-winter activities in recent years, from mountain bike trails and summer dinners to its acquisition of Sun Country Tours, for whitewater rafting. So now it figures it’s time to add a year-round pass to its offerings.

Here’s Wednesday’s full news release announcing the new “Outplay 365” pass:

Mt. Bachelor, a POWDR company, today launched a new pass, Outplay 365, which unlocks year-round access to Central Oregon’s best adventure. Outplay 365 Pass holders receive a full year of unlimited winter lift, Nordic trail, and summer mountain bike park access at Mt. Bachelor and one rafting trip on the Big Eddy Thriller with Sun Country Tours.

“Central Oregonians love to play hard,” said John McLeod, Mt. Bachelor’s president and general manager. “Outplay 365 delivers opportunities to play outside in all four seasons within the incredible setting of the Cascade Mountains and rivers of Oregon.”

Adult Outplay 365 passes are on sale now at www.mtbachelor.com for $99 per month, with discounts available for seniors, young adults, teens and youth. A 12-month commitment is required and the deadline to buy is June 30, 2019.

In addition to Outplay 365 and for a limited time only, Mt. Bachelor’s Full Season Passes for the 2019-20 winter season are available now at discounted prices, matching the 2018-19 pre-season rates. Visit www.mtbachelor.com to view options for all age groups and to buy a pass before this promotion ends June 30.

“Mt. Bachelor is constantly looking for new and creative ways for our guests to enjoy what makes Mt. Bachelor so special,” said Drew Jackson, Mt. Bachelor’s director of marketing and communications. “Between Outplay 365 and our winter season pass, our guests have two great options to tap into and enjoy authentic Bend adventure at our amazing outdoor playgrounds.”

Mt. Bachelor’s Sunchaser Spring celebration and the Board, Bike & Brew Festival , presented by 10 Barrel Brewing Co., will close out winter lift access this weekend. The May 25-26 grand finale weekend will include: skiing, snowboarding, downhill mountain biking, live music, contests, games, a beer festival, and the North American Pond Skimming Championships.

Scenic chairlift rides, lift-served downhill mountain biking, mountainside dining, sunset dinners and more will begin on Saturday, June 15.
