BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Silver Rail Elementary teaching assistant Becky Drury, seriously wounded in the October 15 shooting attack, is recovering well from this week's surgery to reconstruct her left arm, husband Will Drury said Thursday.

Here's the full update he posted Thursday to Drury's GoFundMe page, which has raised about $201,000 of its $210,000 goal to support the family during what her husband called "a long road to recovery":

"Words cannot express our overwhelming gratitude for your generosity and kindness while Becky and our community recovers from this horrible tragedy. We are deeply humbled and thankful for every donation from friends and strangers alike. We also want to thank everyone for sharing the link.

"On Tuesday the 27th, Becky underwent her fourth and hopefully final surgery to reconstruct her left arm. They took her back at about noon and finished close to 11pm. They took a section of bone from her leg and used it to replace the missing bone in her arm. They also took a skin graft from that leg to cover the wound. The surgeons are all really happy with how the surgery went. It was a very long day and we’re happy it’s done.

"Becky called me from her room phone at 4am on Wednesday morning sounding like a kid on Christmas day! It was wonderful to hear the excitement in her voice. She was so happy to be whole again! I rushed in and caught some of that energy before she took another nap. The photo is of her enjoying her victory donut. She can move all of her fingers a small amount and her blood flow looks good. She’s back in the ICU for close monitoring for now.

"We still have a long road ahead for her recovery. In addition to her physical recovery, the mental side will be tough. She is not only going to have to get her hand working again and possibly learn a lot of new ways to use it, but she will also need to process her feelings and PTSD from such a terrifying experience. Your generosity has moved both of us to tears. It’s already helping us make modifications to our home and giving us some piece of mind for the future. We aren’t sure where we’ll end up when this is all over, but thanks to your help, we have the means to make it through this journey in peace."
