Four finalists named for principal of Bend’s new high school
Community members are invited to meet four finalists for the principal position for a new small high school opening in Bend in the fall of 2018. The forum will take place Friday, Nov. 17 at 4:15 p.m. at the Education Center, 520 NW Wall St., Bend. Attendees will get a chance to see presentations from and interact with the candidates.
Finalist details:
Michael Franklin is currently the assistant principal at Mountain View High School, a position he has served in for two years. Prior to that, he served as an assistant dean and teacher at The Hawai’i Preparatory Academy in Hawaii for seven years. Franklin also has 10 years of teaching experience in Alaska, Hawaii, Washington and at Summit High School.
Brad Linn is currently the principal at Clackamas Web Academy in North Clackamas School District, a position he has served in for nine years. Prior to that, he served as an assistant principal at Clackamas Web Academy for a year and as a high school teacher for 10 years.
Dr. Linda M O’Shea most recently served as principal at the Arts & Technology Academy middle school at Eugene School District 4-J for a year. Prior to that, she served as a principal for Family Elementary School in Eugene for a year and as assistant principal at the Arts & Technology Academy for three years. O’Shea also has eight years of teaching experience at the middle and elementary level.
Dr. Phillip Pearson is currently the principal at Corbett High School, a position he has served in for the past five years. Prior to that, he served as the Director of Technology for Corbett School District and an associate principal at Corbett High School. He also has 10 years of teaching experience at the high school level.
