Hang on to summer- warm weather returns for the work week across Central Oregon

Howdy all, and happy Sunday! Central Oregon is in for a warmer stretch this week, with temperatures climbing into the mid 70s across Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties each day. Most of the region will stay dry, making for plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather.

A few showers are expected along the Cascades Tuesday, but most of that activity should stay in the higher elevations. For Bend, Redmond, Prineville and surrounding communities, we aren't expecting rain to reach the valley floors. Another swing and a miss for rain chances here in Central Oregon.

Although we will be quite warm this week, there will be some patchy frost and freezing temperatures are possible tonight in some of the colder, higher elevation, and sheltered areas. After tomorrow morning, temperatures trend warmer through the week with generally calm to light winds.

Overall, it's looking like a great week to enjoy our beautiful state. Hiking, biking, kayaking- whatever getting outside means to you- do it! We all know colder weather will return in no time.
