Two Bend women have been arrested in a drug raid on a northeast Bend motel that turned up a small amount of methamphetamine and other evidence, Central Oregon drug agents said Tuesday.

Cindy Byrd, 40, and Lexie Cooper, 19, remained in the Deschutes County Jail on Tuesday, still held without bail on probation violation charges six days after their arrest on drug possession and delivery charges.

Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team detectives executed the search warrant around 10:30 p.m. last Wednesday at a room at Motel 6, 201 NE Third St., said CODE Team Lt. Ken Mannix.

The raid resulted from an investigation by the CODE Team and detectives assigned to the street crimes unit, Mannix said.

Byrd and Cooper were in Room 114 at the motel when the raid took place, the lieutenant said.

Detectives seized about 5 grams of methamphetamine, a scale, packaging material and other evidence of meth sales and distribution, Mannix said.
