Eco-fashion show seeks sponsors

Plans for the 5 th Annual Rubbish Renewed Eco-Fashion Show are underway, with a date set for January 15 th 2015 at the Bend Armory.

Rooted in a love of fashion, an appreciation for art and a passion for the planet, Rubbish Renewed is an annual fundraising event showcasing avant-garde creations by local designers and students which are constructed from recycled and repurposed materials.

The two shows (6 and 8 pm) thrill and inspire, and the lively evening, which also includes a marketplace, live and silent auctions, food carts and beverages for sale, benefits Realms, Rimrock Expeditionary Alternative Learning Middle School, a charter expeditionary learning school.

Although a public school, Realms is funded at significantly lower levels than other schools within the district, and due to the cost of providing extensive fieldwork and travel study in each of the three grades, additional fundraising is essential. This locally rooted, eco-friendly fashion show is the school’s major annual fundraiser each year.

Now is the time to jump on board as a Rubbish Renewed business sponsor, and each sponsorship level offers enticing benefits, such as marketing opportunities in the press, on ads and in social media, logo and weblink on the Rubbish Renewed and Realms websites, and admission to the show. Details for each level are highlighted below:

Refuse Remover –$1250. Includes promo table at the event and VIP seating for 8, shout out by the emcee, inclusion in radio ads, and a garment in the Business Challenge, and more.

Debris Demolisher–$750. Includes 4 tickets to the show, emcee recognition, a garment in Business Challenge for $50, and more.

Trash Taperer—$350. Includes 2 tickets, slideshow presence, a garment in the Business Challenge for $100, and more.

Community Composter—In-kind contributions up to $300. Two tickets and more.

Additionally, there are four VIP tables at each show featuring complimentary drinks, snacks and the best seats in the house at $450 for 6 guests, or $300 for 4 guests.
