‘Bunks Across America’ builds more bunk beds in Bend, helped by Home Depot volunteers
It was very loud and dusty at the Aaken Corporation in northeast Bend on Saturday. Dozens of people, with the help of Home Depot volunteers, rolled up their sleeves to hammer, drill, and sand down wood. It was for the "Bunks Across America" that's put on by "Sleep in Heavenly Peace" to build beds for kids in need. The goal for Saturday was to make 60 beds. The target goal this year is to make 200 beds.
