Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

Brace yourselves for some hot weather over the next few days. We’ll see highs in the upper 90s and triple digits by tomorrow. We won’t be seeing much relief overnight either. Hazy skies will continue. Air quality levels have been hovering around ‘Moderate’ today.

Tonight we’re looking at mostly clear skies with hazy conditions. Lows will be in the low to mid 50s, which is above average. Winds will be rather calm becoming variable after midnight. We’ll still see hazy skies and can expect to wake up to smoke tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow is off to a mild start and will be similar to today. High temperatures will be a few degrees warmer in the mid to upper 90s and low triple digits. Sunshine and smoke will blanket the region.

An EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH goes into effect for the region Wednesday morning and stays with us through Thursday. Daytime highs will be in the upper 90s and hover around 105 degrees for many locations. Overnight lows will be well above average in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Wednesday’s forecasted high at the airport in Redmond is 105 degrees with the record being 104. Thursday’s forecasted high is 103 degrees with the record being 100.

Heat illnesses could happen during heat waves, so please pay attention to your body and allow yourself to take it easy and rest up.

Stay cool!
