Dry and warm pattern remains, cooler late in the week

Once again, the region is dealing with well above normal temperatures as the area continues to reach the 80s for afternoon highs.  Tuesday will be another 80-degree day as high pressure continues to provide us with the sunny and warm conditions.

Breezy conditions are expected to be the more noticeable weather feature over the next couple of days as the area transitions from a warmer to a more normal pattern.  A weak cold front, with very little moisture to work with will slide through late Tuesday cooling the Pacific Northwest. Highs on Wednesday are likely to be in the upper 70s, still above normal, but slightly milder.

The region warms again on Thursday, but then a more persistent pattern of cooler air arrives for the weekend.  Expect to see the mercury in the thermometer return to the 70s for highs Friday and Saturday. 

Sunday and Monday are likely to see highs in the upper 60s with some cloud cover and a chance for some rain late Monday afternoon or overnight into Tuesday.

Bottom line is another dry week with temperatures up and down. Breezy pattern is expected from time to time through the mountains and high desert as well.
