Lance Campbell is a Local Alert Weather Forecaster and Multimedia Journalist with KTVZ News. He joined the KTVZ News team in 2026.

A proud Oregon native, Lance grew up in Central Oregon before spending his middle and high school years on his family’s cattle ranch in rural Eastern Oregon near the Oregon–Nevada border. There, he attended one of the last remaining public boarding schools in the United States. Growing up on the ranch and across Oregon’s wide-open landscapes sparked his appreciation for storytelling and the ever-changing weather of the Pacific Northwest.

After high school, Lance moved to Manhattan to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts before returning to Oregon to continue his education at Southern Oregon University and Central Oregon Community College.

Today, Lance is proud to forecast the weather and share stories for the region he has long called home. When he’s not in the newsroom, you’ll likely find him exploring Oregon’s mountains, trails, and high desert with his dog.
