Sunny and dry today, rainy late Sunday

ktvz

Today will be mostly sunny and dry with milder than normal temperature readings.  Highs are expected to reach the upper 60s, but a few areas may pop up into the low 70s.  Not much of a breeze so the day will be still and pleasant. A nice reminder that Spring has sprung and that the colder days are becoming few and far between.

Sunday will start out sunny, but as the day moves along the skies will be filling with clouds.  Rain is expected before the end of the day, timing out to arrive around sunset is a good prognostication. The rain will be light and there may be some snow mingled in overnight into Monday, but not much on the High Desert.

Monday will be the rainy day with showers, fairly steady, across the state. Highs will be much cooler due to the clouds and rain, only reaching the upper 50s. The middle 50s are normal for early April, so even with the rain we are above our average high. Mountain snow returns for the riders.

Tuesday should be less active as far as the rain is concerned, but still wet. Snow will continue to fall over the Cascades, adding a few more inches by the end of the day.

Wednesday will be another dry day, ending the wet pattern and beginning another dry run.

Please stay safe.
