Dry finish to 2025, rain on New Year’s Day

A lack of wind has portions of Central Oregon under an Air Stagnation Advisory today. Smoke from pile burns, prescribed burns, and fireplaces won’t disperse easily, which could impact air quality. The advisory expires tomorrow afternoon.
You may run into patchy fog or pockets of freezing fog this morning.
We’ll see partly sunny skies this afternoon, with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
Today is a transition day as clouds increase ahead of a wet New Year’s Day. Rain arrives after midnight tonight, with light, steady showers likely for much of the day tomorrow.
Skies stay mostly cloudy Friday with warmer than normal temperatures in the low 50s. A few light showers are possible, but most of the precipitation should hold off until Saturday.
Saturday will be another mild day with highs near 50. Expect off and on rain, with a chance for a brief wintry mix early in the morning and again late in the day.
Mountain snow is possible Saturday, though accumulations look light. Sunday brings more rain across the high desert along with mountain snow.
Wishing you a safe and happy New Year’s Eve and wonderful year ahead. See you in 2026!
