Quiet Thursday, below normal temperatures

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Central Oregon will stay cooler than normal through the rest of the week as low pressure lingers near the Pacific Northwest.

Thursday and Friday look quiet, but we could see some rain/snow showers in the Cascades.

Highs will reach the low to mid 50s across the High Desert today with periods of sunshine and clouds. Winds have eased and should generally stay light today.

There's a chance for some patchy fog heading into Friday. Expect similar high temperatures tomorrow with partly to mostly cloudy conditions.

The weekend looks chilly with highs near the upper 40s. Intermittent light rain and snow showers could linger through the mountains. It doesn't look like much moisture will make it to the lower elevations with a low chance for rain on Halloween.

If you are sending the kids out trick-or-treating, make sure they take a jacket! The next few days will be chilly, especially when the sun goes down.

Don’t forget to fall back! Daylight Saving Time ends at 2am Sunday, so set your clocks back one hour. Enjoy an extra hour of sleep, but get ready for earlier sunsets.
