COCC forums seek input on presidential search

The Central Oregon Community College Board of Directors has begun the process of selecting a new president for the college. The board is hosting a series of open forums to seek input from members of the community about what they would like to see in the new president. The meetings are scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 8 and Wednesday, Oct. 9.

If anyone would like to provide input but cannot attend the open forum, they can contact Association of Community College Trustees Search Consultant, Julie Golder, J.D., at jgolder@acct.org<mailto:jgolder@acct.org> and provide thoughts on the following questions:

– What are the challenges and opportunities facing COCC?

– What are the ideal characteristics of our new president?

– What are the minimum qualifications (degree, years of senior level experience, etc.)?
