RPA dance marathon raises $6,000 for children’s hospitals

KTVZ

On Friday, October 14 , the Redmond Proficiency Academy held a Dance Marathon at the RPA middle school. Over 65 students from all over Central Oregon participated in the fundraiser.

The event exceeded the $4000 goal, raising $6,000 to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, an organization that helps support for families with premature babies.

Organizer and RPA senior Katie Bullock, who has a personal connection to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, decided to take action and raise important dollars for CMN. “CMN saved my life and the life of my cousin Delainey,” said Bullock. “They do so much good for so many families, and I’m so proud of the work RPA students have done to support this incredible organization.”

Bullock thanks the event sponsors T and T Marketing, Baldy’s BBQ, Umpqua Bank, Safeway, and Humm Kombucha, who provided gift certificates and baskets.

Overall, the first Children’s Miracle Network fundraiser held at RPA was a resounding success.
