I moved to Central Oregon when I was six years old and have proudly called Oregon my home since. I graduated from Bend High School and attended Portland State University, where I studied political science and international relations.

With intentions of working in international law and mediation, I traveled to Cyprus to work with nonprofits dedicated to peace efforts between the Greek and Turkish sides of the country. However, due to the escalating conflict in neighboring Syria at the time along with pressing family matters, I returned to Bend to assist in my mother’s real estate business while I figured out my next career and education moves.

Though real estate wasn’t in my original plan, I quickly fell in love with the industry. It gave me the chance to get involved in the community while helping people turn their dream of living in Central Oregon into a reality. My passion for people, problem-solving, and Central Oregon’s unique culture helped fuel a deeply rewarding career for over a decade.

Even though I still hold great affection for my real estate career, I began to feel a strong pull back toward my educational roots. Knowing I wasn’t ready to move across the globe from family or immediately return to school, I started exploring other paths that aligned with my interests. That lead me to journalism.

I’ve always had a love for news and grew up watching KTVZ, often playing it in the background during my workdays. Once I started taking online courses in journalism, everything just clicked. I knew I had found something that perfectly blended my passions. Being a lifelong KTVZ fan, applying there was a no-brainer. “KTVZ or bust!”

It didn’t take long for me to realize that journalism — and my new KTVZ family — is the perfect fit. I love connecting with people and telling stories that matter, whether they impact our local neighborhoods, have international significance, or land somewhere in between.

Looking back, every step along the way — from Cyprus to Central Oregon, from real estate to reporting — has led me here. I’m grateful for the journey and excited for what’s ahead as I continue to grow, learn, and share the stories that shape our community. I look forward to opportunities that allow me to build meaningful connections and trust with our viewers.

In my spare time, you may catch me out with my husband, Dylan, and our pups, Ghost & Sage — they are our constant companions! We are lucky to have much of our family here in Central Oregon, which means a lot of family events and numerous nieces & nephews to keep us busy. Come summertime, we try to take advantage of as many live music events with our friends as possible. We are grateful to call such an incredible place ‘home’.
