LANCASTER, Pennsylvania (WGAL) — Eagle-eyed Swifties might have noticed Taylor Swift wearing a custom diamond bracelet when she hugged boyfriend Travis Kelce after he and the Kansas City Chiefs earned a trip to the Super Bowl.
That bracelet has a Susquehanna Valley connection.
The designers and jewelers at the Workshop at Wove on North Prince Street in Lancaster have known about a special client for some time.
But it wasn’t Taylor Swift — it was her boyfriend Travis Kelce who asked Wove Jewelers for a custom piece.
“So, Travis wanted a diamond tennis bracelet, said TNT, Travis N Taylor,” said Drew Wolgemuth of Wove Jewelers.
It is part of a luxury friendship bracelet collection professional golfer Michelle Wei launched with Wove in the fall.
Wei is friends with the football player who told him about the personalized pieces.
Then Wove workers spotted their creation Sunday night.
“Seeing the videos of Taylors hug his neck when they win the championship, oh my goodness, what a special moment,” said Bernie Dufrene of Wove Jewelers.
Drew shared that sentiment, “We were thrilled to see Taylor wearing it,” said Wolgemuth.
“It’s cool that here in little Lancaster, Pa., we were able to make that happen,” said Dufrene.
There’s more, as in one more bracelet! Not seen in public yet, but Travis commissioned another bracelet, just like the first one, but bigger – for him.
“Travis’ actually has larger diamonds than Taylors, which our team thought was kind of funny,” said Wolgemuth.
So the two stars have matching Wove Friendship Bracelets, but really they feel more like love bracelets.
“We just feel incredibly lucky to be a part of their love story and deliver two matching custom tennis bracelets to both Travis and Taylor,” said Wolgemuth.
