Oregon Equestrian Trails once again offering free gift-wrapping service at Bend River Promenade

(Update: Adding video)

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Another familiar holiday feature is back at Bend River Promenade: free gift wrapping, sponsored by the Central Oregon chapter of Oregon Equestrian Trails.

You can find this service between Macy’s and the Party Store. It’s in operation from noon to 6 p.m. through Dec. 15 and from Dec. 16-23, it’s open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The hours on Christmas Eve are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We can wrap anything from anywhere for any occasion,” Donita Elbert says, adding that donations are appreciated for OET’s operations.

Items can be left while you shop, see a show or dine, and they will call you when they are ready to pick up.

The nonprofit has been around for over 50 years, formed in 1970 to build and maintain horse amps and trails around the state. Members also promote education of equestrians and other user groups in “Leave No Trace” outdoor ethics, and campground and trail etiquette.
