REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ)- The Bi-Mart Deschutes County Fair and Rodeo presented by Indian Head Casino is excited to announce that the Grammy-nominated rock band, The Fray, will be performing as the opening act on Wednesday, July 31st, kicking off the fair's 104th anniversary celebration.

Geoff Hinds, Director of the Deschutes County Fair and Expo, expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming performance, stating, "We cannot wait to see The Fray open for our 104th-anniversary celebration. Their incredible music and undeniable stage presence will set the tone for an unforgettable week of entertainment at the fair."

The Fray, hailing from Denver, Colorado, achieved national success with their self-titled debut album in 2005, which featured the double-platinum hit singles "Over My Head (Cable Car)" and "How to Save a Life." The band's unique sound, blending electronic instruments, drum samples, and powerful backing vocals, has earned them critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base.

In addition to The Fray's opening night performance, the Bi-Mart Deschutes County Fair and Rodeo presented by Indian Head Casino will feature a stellar lineup of artists throughout the week, including the recently announced Yung Gravy, who will take the stage on Friday night. Yung Gravy, known for his effortless flows, endlessly quotable lyrics, and passion for soul music and oldies, has amassed billions of streams since his introduction in 2016. His originality and positivity have had a one-of-a-kind impact on the genre, making him a must-see act at this year's fair.

All concerts in the Kendall Toyota of Bend Summer Concert series are FREE with paid admission to the fair. New this year, the Bi-Mart Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo is offering a limited number of VIP tickets for purchase. These VIP tickets start at $10 and include a premium viewing section near the stage, a VIP access only bar, and other exclusive benefits. Due to limited availability, these VIP tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so fairgoers are encouraged to secure their tickets early to enhance their concert experience.

Fairgoers can also enjoy a wide array of exciting activities and attractions, including championship rodeo, carnival rides, animal exhibits, shopping, and a diverse selection of food vendors. Classic fair favorites like cotton candy and corn dogs will be available alongside various exhibits and performances throughout the event.

The fair hours are as follows:

- Wednesday & Thursday: 11:00 am - 10:00 pm

- Friday & Saturday: 11:00 am - 11:00 pm

- Sunday: 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

Exhibit buildings will be open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Animal barns will be accessible Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am to 10:30 pm, and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
