Cascade Cycling Classic back in Bend this weekend
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)-- A Bend tradition is back this summer, closing down much of Downtown Bend. The Cascade Cycling Class starts Saturday at noon and will bring 200 competing cyclists to the area.
"It's so fun. You don't have to know anything about bike racing to have a lot of fun and cheer on racers," said race director Molly Cogswell-Kelley.
"We begin our day at noon. We'll have races at noon, and then we'll end at 8:55 PM with the pro men's race, and the pro women's races right before that at 5:25," she added. "But we have races and other activities going throughout the day. Really the whole reason we do it is so we can give our little cycling team an opportunity to race on such a big stage because it's a big deal."
