MGN

WASHINGTON (KTVZ) – Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05) announced high school students across Oregon’s 5th Congressional District are invited to submit their artwork for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. This competition is conducted by members of the U.S. House of Representatives to encourage students from across the country to express their artistic talents.

One winner will receive two round-trip tickets to Washington, D.C. and attend a congressional reception honoring artwork from across the country. The winner will also have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol complex for one year. Two runners-up will have their artwork displayed in Chavez-DeRemer’s district offices.

“I strongly encourage high school students from across the 5th District to apply for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition,” said Chavez-DeRemer. “This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their artistic talents, and I look forward to reviewing their submissions and recognizing the creative capabilities of our high school students!”
