Deschutes Children’s Foundation celebrates Giving Tuesday, receives $30,000 in matching grant funds
This Giving Tuesday, Deschutes Children’s Foundation will inspire generosity, thanks to a partnership with the Maybelle Clark McDonald Fund. DCF is excited to announce that they have received $30,000 in matching grant funds from the Maybelle Clark McDonald Fund to bolster their impact in Central Oregon.
Any gift will be matched up to $30,000, doubling the impact for Deschutes Children’s Foundation and their 23 nonprofit partners.
With the help of donors, vulnerable families can walk through DCF’s doors and find the help they desperately need. All gifts, big or small, help the foundation meet the ever-growing demand as they work to strengthen Central Oregon families.
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. Donations to Deschutes Children’s Foundation help provide the space and support where nonprofits succeed at helping children and families.
In 1990, Deschutes Children's Foundation created a consortium, now consisting of 23 nonprofits on four campuses, whose mission is to serve children and families in crisis. On Deschutes Children’s Foundation’s collaborative campuses, partner programs receive classroom, clinic and office spaces that are essential in meeting the needs of Central Oregon families.
“The mission of DCF is critical to our community, and DCF has provided the literal foundation on which our nonprofit partners have built invaluable services for families that need them the most”, says DCF Executive Director Cassi MacQueen. “The impact is incredible, as nearly one out of every 10 people living in Bend, La Pine and Redmond received services at our campuses last year.”
