Friends of Scouting holds annual luncheon in Bend to celebrate and invest in local youth
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Community leaders, elected officials, uniformed first responders, family and friends of Scouting gathered at the Bend Armory on Tuesday for a Friends of Scouting luncheon.
"The Friends of Scouting annual gathering is a great opportunity to hear about a thriving youth program throughout central Oregon and see engaged community members and leaders," Jennifer Stephens, Pacific Crest Council board member, Pack 27 Committee Chair and Cub Scout Mom.
"We gather to hear the inspirational speakers, share updates on Scouting in our region, and to raise funds to invest in a thriving youth program that instills service, leadership, and integrity in its members. Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA members and families have an opportunity to gain life skills and explore new interests through Scouting adventures and experience."
