Discover Your Forest to host Winter Volunteer Information Night

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Discover Your Forest, the non-profit partner of the Deschutes National Forest, is hosting the annual Winter Volunteer Information Night for volunteers who are interested in winter volunteer opportunities on the Deschutes National Forest. 

The event will be held on Tuesday, October 28th, from 5-6 p.m. at Embark Coworking Community, located at 2843 NW Lolo Drive, Bend, OR 97703

Opportunities include Project SNOW education programing, Snowshoe with a Ranger interpretive talks and Visitor Services support at various Ranger offices.

Volunteers are provided uniforms and training. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one day per week.

Visitor Services is ongoing while pProject SNOW and Snowshoe with a Ranger are December through the end of March 2026.
