BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) — University of Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger has reportedly accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to the murders of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin.
The move, which was first reported by News Nation, comes only days after Judge Steven Hippler dismissed Kohberger’s lawyers’ bid for an alternate perpetrator theory.
Brian Entin of News Nation wrote on X, “Sources confirm the prosecution has proposed dropping the death penalty in exchange for Kohberger pleading guilty to committing the four murders and serving life.”
