Furry Friends: Moose the sweet senior pup

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- This week's Furry Friend is Moose, a 7-year-old German Shepherd mix looking for his forever home at Brightside Animal Center in Redmond!

Moose has a very fitting name as he is a large boy. But he's a gentle giant--he loves getting pets and cuddles!

"He's a fantastic dog. Even though he came in (as a stray) with us not knowing a lot about him, we have learned so much. He has had no issues with other dogs. He has done great. Whether the dog is 2 pounds or his same size, or male or female. So that's been really awesome," said Hannah Loftis, the shelter manager at Brightside. "The the only thing that that this man is dealing with is he is older and he does have some hip and joint issues, some arthritis."

Moose is looking for a home with a family that would be understanding and gracious with his hip and joint struggles.

November is 'Adopt a Senior Pet' month, making it the perfect time to give Moose his forever home!

If you would like to meet Moose, head on down to Brightside Animal Center in Redmond. Click here to find his profile on Brightside's website.

Right now, Brightside is hosting a 'Home for the Holidays' foster event where you're able to invite one of the furry friends into your home to spend the holidays outside of the shelter.
