Furry Friends: Pretty Prada thinks she’s a lap dog

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- This week's Furry Friend is Prada, a 3-year-old mixed breed looking for her forever home at BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond!

Prada loves her squeaky toys and male dog friends. She's 70 pounds of love and cuddles--and her favorite spot will be in your lap!

"Prada is a wonderful girl. She is over 70 pounds but do not let that fool you, she thinks that she's a lap dog," said Hannah Loftis, the shelter manager at BrightSide. "She's ready to find that home that is going to give her all of the squeaky toys, all of the treats, all of the laps, and just let her be a really good, happy girl."

Prada is a bit shy when first meeting new people, but once she warms up to you, you'll be her best friend!

"It does take her a little bit to warm up to new friends. So just give her some time and some space and once she feels safe and comfortable, she will request to be in your lap," Hannah said. "We don't know how she will do with cats. That is something unknown. I would definitely say maybe some older kiddos just because she can be so shy. But it's something we don't know yet."

She would do best in a home with other male dogs or on her own as she's still working on her bravery.

Head on down to BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond to meet Prada! They're open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Click here to find her profile on BrightSide's website.
