Pacific Power helps Bend Rotary

KTVZ

Pacific Power has awarded a $5,000 corporate contribution to The Rotary Club of Bend Foundation to help support the Club’s endowment. This endowment will become a permanent resource for funding music and college scholarships for local people who might otherwise not have the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

The scholarships are only part of the picture of how Rotary gives back. The endowment is a unique way of assuring the scholarships will continue without further fundraising, as they will be funded from endowment earnings, leaving the grand total to continue earning. This frees The Rotary Club of Bend’s fundraising efforts for other purposes.

“As a Rotarian I’ve seen first-hand the great work Rotary does around the world and in our local communities. Pacific Power is proud to assist The Rotary Club of Bend in achieving their goal to create an endowment fund that will continue to offer scholarships to local students well into the future,” said Angela Jacobson, Pacific Power regional community manager.

“Pacific Power’s contribution shows their understanding of the value of the endowment, as well as their support for what we do in the community. It will take us a giant step toward the final goal, which the Club hopes to achieve this year. We so appreciate this significant gift,” commented Jan Eggleston, Bend Rotary Foundation President.
