Three boys, two 14 and one 12, have been arrested this week in connection with close to $9,000 worth of graffiti, theft and other property damage around Sunriver Resort, police said Friday.

Two of the suspects were arrested Tuesday and the third Wednesday in connection with the crimes that occurred in May and June, said Police Chief Marc Mills. All three live near Sunriver but not in the resort community, officers said.

Damaged items ranged from pathways, tunnels, cars and houses to the Sunriver Lodge, Sunriver Village Mall and the new SHARC (Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic and Recreation Center), Mills said. Also, over $360 worth of personal items were stolen, lights broken and similar vandalism, he said.

Two of the boys were cited in lieu of custody and one of the 14-year-olds was lodged at the Deschutes County Juvenile Detention Center, Mills said.
