Wells Fargo has donated $510,000 to 11 nonprofit Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Oregon and southwest Washington to support the construction of 32 affordable homes for low- and moderate-income residents.

The grants from the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation include:

* $80,000 to the Willamette West affiliate in Hillsboro to help build five homes in Beaverton and two in Hillsboro.
* $80,000 to the Mid-Willamette Valley affiliate in Salem to help build four homes in Salem, one in Stayton and one in Keizer.
* $60,000 to the Evergreen affiliate in Vancouver, Wash., to help build four homes in Vancouver.
* $45,000 to the Bend affiliate to help build three homes in Bend.

* $15,000 to the Redmond affiliate to help build a home in Redmond.
* $15,000 to The Dalles Area Habitat for Humanity to help build a home in The Dalles.

The grants are in support of the efforts of hundreds of Wells Fargo team members in this region who are volunteering again this year for Habitat for Humanity. They are raising walls, making interior improvements, painting, landscaping and performing a variety of other construction duties at build sites around the region.

“Wells Fargo is one of the strongest corporate supporters of Habitat for Humanity, both in this region and across the nation,” said Don Pearson, Wells Fargo’s regional president for Oregon and southwest Washington. “The funds we donated in this region were among the $58 million that Wells Fargo has given to Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the nation since 1993.”

Wells Fargo’s Volunteer Program has mobilized more than 175,000 team members to volunteer more than 4.5 million hours to build or refurbish 4,000 homes in low-to-moderate income communities throughout America in the past 15 years.

The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation’s mission is to provide sustainable homeownership opportunities for low- to moderate-income people by providing volunteer and financial resources to local and national nonprofit housing organizations.
