Bend, Sisters Turkey Trots set
The Baldy’s Barbeque 3 rd Annual Bend Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thursday, November 22. The event will benefit feed the hungry programs in Deschutes County. The course will start and finish at a NEW location on NW Skyliner Ranch Road in beautiful Northwest Bend.
The 5k, 10K Fun run/walk and 1 Mile Trotters Walk will begin at 9:00 AM. Early Race registration for the 5K Fun run/walk is $15, $20 10K Fun run/walk and $7 for the Trotters Walk.
All participants are encouraged to bring a grocery bag filled with non-perishable foodstuffs to benefit the La Pine Community Kitchen.
Homemade pies like Grandma used to make will again be available. 9″ Apple, Blueberry and Strawberry Rhubarb will be $12.00. Please send checks to the La Pine Community Kitchen, PO Box 813, La Pine Oregon 97739.

SISTERS TURKEY TROT:
The 1 st Annual Sisters Turkey Trot is scheduled for Saturday, November 24, 2012. The event will benefit feed the hungry programs in Deschutes County. The course will start and finish in downtown Sisters Oregon. The 5k, 10K Fun Run/Walk and 1 Mile Trotters Walk will begin at 11:00 AM in time to finish 90 minutes prior to the traditional Sisters Christmas Parade where everyone can get into the spirit of Christmas.
The Inaugural 2012 event will be FREE and all participants are encouraged to bring a grocery bag filled with non-perishable foodstuffs. For safety and insurance purposes ALL participants must be registered. There will be no online registration available, paper and mail in registration forms will be available at the usual outlets and retailers throughout the Sisters Community.
