KTVZ

High Desert Chamber Music presented by Bank of America has been awarded the James F. & Marion L. Miller Foundation grant, in the amount of $5,000, over the course of two years.

The independent and private foundation was established in 2002 to enhance the quality of life of Oregonians through support of the Arts and Education.

“We are very fortunate to receive this award from the James F. & Marion L. Miller Foundation, and these funds will be used toward general operating support, and to supplement payments to our visiting artists through the season. To have this support from a well-known and respected foundation is encouraging and will add to our resolve to continue our mission,” states Executive Director Isabelle Senger.

High Desert Chamber Music’s mission is to bring world class chamber music and musicians to Central Oregon. Now in its fifth season, HDCM has presented a broad range of chamber groups, ranging from string trios to piano quintets. The 2012-13 season continues with the Annual Benefit Gala on December 15, which includes a performance, dinner, and silent auction at the Oxford Hotel.

HDCM 2012-2013 title sponsors include Bank of America, the Oxford Hotel, KQAK radio, and KBNW Radio, Nelson Tile & Stone, North Rim, The Norma Dubois and Julie Moe Team at Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty, and Pacific Painting.
