Crooked River Grassland offices moving

The Crooked River National Grassland Office will be closed on Monday, December 3 rd and reopen on Tuesday, December 4 th in their new location with the Madras/Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce at 274 SW 4 th Street in Madras.

The Crooked River National Grassland will continue to provide the same services and information, just located in the Chamber office. The hours will be the same business hours For the Crooked River National Grassland of Monday thru Friday, 8:00-4:30.

Sharing the Chamber of Commerce office will be a better location for the Crooked River National Grassland office and lower the lease cost.

“We believe it will provide a more centralized service to the community of Madras and to the people that are coming to visit Central Oregon’s public lands and be more visible,” said Slater Turner, District Ranger for the Crooked River National Grassland and Lookout Mountain Ranger District.

“Having the Crooked River National Grassland office a part of our building will only enhance the synergy and caliber of public information to our area of downtown, particularly complimenting the new City of Madras and Police Department building just across the street,” said Joe Krenowicz, Executive Director for the Madras/Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.

The Crooked River National Grassland office can still be reached at the same phone number of (541) 475-9272 and the mailing address will be the same as the Chamber of Commerce, 274 SW 4 th Street in Madras.
