Bend gallery partners with Bethlehem Inn

KTVZ

Artist members and the Red Chair Gallery will donate 10% of December’s proceeds to the Bethlehem Inn, Central Oregon’s only emergency shelter serving adults and families experiencing homelessness in Central Oregon.

Last year Red Chair Gallery began this donation effort and was able to give Bethlehem Inn $2,000.

The Red Chair Gallery has been open since August 2010 and has been very successful, much of which is due to the encouragement of the community and the dedicated work of its Partner Owners and Member Artists.

As a way to return some of the generous support they have received, all Artists have agreed to contribute 5% from all December sales to the Bethlehem Inn with the Gallery matching all donations for a total of 10% of December sales.

In April 2012; 2,132 individuals and children in Central Oregon were identified as homeless. As the 2012/2013 winter season approaches, many seek out support from the Inn in search of a warm bed, hot shower and 3 meals each day.

The Bethlehem Inn has been providing shelter and meals for adults and children in need since opening their doors in 1999. Beyond providing life’s basic necessities, the Inn also offers support services by linking residents to over 70 partner agencies in our community to help with job training, medical, needs, etc.

By shopping at the Red Chair Gallery for all your personal and holiday needs, proceeds from your December purchases will go towards helping those in need. The gallery has a wide range of fine art and contemporary crafts to please everyone. This season, purchase gifts for giving and gifts that give back.

The Red Chair Gallery is a membership gallery with more than 30 local and Oregon artists located in downtown Bend. It is open seven days a week. All artwork is original and includes paintings, ceramics, jewelry, woodwork, photography, fiber arts, glass and mosaics.
