Redmond Toy and Food Drive under way
Redmond Fire & Rescue and the Salvation Army have once again partnered together for the annual “Redmond Toy and Food Drive.” Donations from organizations, businesses and individuals are used to provide toys, canned food, and a Christmas dinner for those in need during the holiday season.
Donations of unwrapped toys for ages 1 through 13, non-perishable food, or cash can be made at: Redmond Fire & Rescue’s downtown station, 341 NW Dogwood Ave
Firefighters will be accepting donations at the following locations and dates:
Saturday Dec. 1st, Albertson’s, noon-4 p.m.
Saturday Dec 8th, Wal-Mart, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 8th, Fox’s Trees, 19 a.m.-2 p.m.
Donation locations can also be found on our website at redmondfireandrescue.org
Cash donations will be used to purchase food and toys that are in short supply (please make checks payable to Salvation Army – Redmond Toy and Food Drive).
One of our common unmet needs in the past has been gifts for the children ages 12 and up. Gift cards are a great idea of this age group. Donations should be made by December 19th so that they can be processed.
This year we would like to thank the following businesses who are partnering up to provide bikes for the program:
Trinity Bikes Marks Auto Body
Central Oregon Eye Care Hayden Homes
