Redmond couple has new home for the holidays

KTVZ

Volunteers, neighbors and well-wishers came together on Saturday to help a couple celebrate a new home right in time for Christmas.

It was the first-ever home remodel for the Redmond Habitat for Humanity, and many volunteers and donors came together to remodel a house in Redmond for a couple who until recently had only dreamed of owning a home.

Sam Durso and Resha Spero moved into their new home in September, but just recently signed the official ownership paperwork.

The couple told NewsChannel 21 they are grateful for all the community support and want to thank everyone who lended a helping hand.

“”It’s just a different feeling, owning your home, being able to paint your walls whatever color you want,” Spero said.

Redmond Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps low-income families achieve home ownership.
