KTVZ

United Way of Deschutes County is very grateful to be a January beneficiary of the Mt. Bachelor 5th Annual Charity Ski Week Fundraiser.

Mt. Bachelor provides lift ticket vouchers to United Way of Deschutes County that are valid January 7 – 11 and 14-18. Skiers pick-up a voucher at United Way, present it at the mountain along with $25, and ski or snowboard all day. Mt. Bachelor contributes 100% of the proceeds back to the United Way organization.

Revenue generated through Mt. Bachelor’s Charity Ski Weeks goes to help support the programs and services provided by the agencies that partner with United Way. In 2011, over 74,000 area residents of Deschutes County received much needed assistance from the 33 local programs and human services that United Way helps to fund.

“Inclusion in this wonderful program is of great importance to our organization and the programs we help support” states Darleen Rodgers, Director of Resource Development with United Way of Deschutes County.

Mt. Bachelor President and General Manager Dave Rathbun states, “We are very proud of the success of our charitable ski week programs and look forward to helping increase the overall ticket redemption and cash contribution to local Central Oregon non-profit organizations.”

Vouchers can be reserved by calling the United Way office at 541-389-6507. Tickets for the January session will be available for pick-up starting January 3 rd .
