Bailey chosen as NeighborImpact board chair

NeighborImpact is proud to announce that Susan Bailey was recently elected as the President of NeighborImpact’s Board of Directors.

Bailey moved to Central Oregon more than 12 years ago from Grants Pass. As a previous small business owner working in affordable housing, Bailey has an extensive background as support for her new role with the board.

“Affordable housing is real a passion of mine,” states Bailey. “The community is strengthened when people of all income levels who are able to afford homeownership have the opportunity to purchase and own their home.”

Bailey has served on NeighborImpact’s Board of Directors for a total of three years and recently chaired the Executive Director Search Committee who was charged with hiring the agency’s current Executive Director, Scott Cooper.

“Susan is an excellent choice to lead our board of directors moving forward,” stated Cooper. “Her insight into our local community and support of the issues our clients face daily makes her a true asset for our organization.”

Bailey has worked for the past three years at the City of Redmond’s Public Works department. She was approached by multiple board members this spring about running for President of the Board. Bailey’s focus is on the future of the agency and how it can continue to support the residents of Central Oregon.

“I am extremely excited about the new opportunities NeighborImpact will search out with leadership from the Board and Scott,” said Bailey. “There are many issues facing Central Oregon and we feel extremely confident in NeighborImpact’s ability to continue supporting our community as we have for over 26 years.”
