SWF is a non-profit organization based out of Bend, OR. They work to bring Challenge Day to Central Oregon middle and high schools. The Challenge Day organization believes separation, isolation, and lowliness are the root cause of a wide range of teen issues such as teasing, bullying, stereotyping, racism, violence, suicide, and the use of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
These Challenge Days are one day events where 100 students and 30 to 35 adult volunteers spend an entire day working on “ice-breakers,” team exercises, presentations, and small group discussions that help students understand and appreciate both their differences and similarities.
