Alzheimer’s study participants sought

Central Oregon Council On Aging (COCOA) invites community members to participate in University of Washington’s Northwest Research Group on Aging RDAD (Reducing Disability in Alzheimer’s Disease) study.

The RDAD study is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). RDAD is an intervention to help people with dementia and their caregivers in their homes maintain physical function and emotional wellbeing. This NIH study is an evidence-based approach to care.

When participating in this research study, caregivers and care recipients will receive home visits and phone consults with a specially trained study coach from Central Oregon Council On Aging.

Couples will learn exercises to improve strength and balance, and set goals for self-care and pleasant events. Participants will also be contributing to valuable research on dementia.
