Sisters Rodeo tickets on sale
Tickets are now on sale for the 73rd annual PRCA Sisters Rodeo, scheduled for June 5, 7-9 at the Sisters Rodeo grounds. With the addition of Xtreme Bulls on Wednesday, June 5, there are five exciting performances and a weekend of special events planned for “The Biggest Little Show in the World.”
Xtreme Bulls begins Wednesday, June 5, at 6:30 pm; Rodeo performances are Friday, June 7, 7 pm.; Saturday, June 8, 1 pm. and 7 pm.; and Sunday, June 9, 1 pm. “Slack”, on Thursday, June 6, is free to spectators. The Central Oregon Bulldogging Shootout, an independent fundraiser for Justin and Columbia River Circuit Cowboy Crisis Funds, will be on Wednesday, June 5, from noon-4 pm. This even is also free to spectators, who will see up to 45 PRCA rodeo bulldoggers in early action before they compete in the rodeo.
The traditional rodeo parade will be held in downtown Sisters on Saturday, June 8, starting at 9:30 am. On Sunday, June 9, the Kiwanis Buckaroo Breakfast will be served from 7 – 11 am, and the Cowboy Church Service will be held at 9 am, both at the rodeo grounds.
“Xtreme Bulls” tickets are $15 with open seating in the bleachers. Children twelve years old and under are admitted free. Box seat and plaza seat tickets are also available for this special event. Rodeo ticket prices June 7-9 range from $12 to $18. At the Friday evening performance, all general seats are unreserved at $12, with children 12 and under admitted free. Seating for all other performances are reserved. Group rates are available for 10 or more for the Sunday afternoon performance. Children six and under are admitted free in some sections on Sunday.
Whitney Richey, Sisters PRCA Rodeo Queen, will reign over the 73 th annual rodeo. Each performance will feature the grand entry, team bronc riding, tie-down roping, bareback riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, team roping, bull riding, and barrel racing. “The Xtreme Bulls” event is bull riding only, with a dance following at 9:00 pm at the rodeo grounds. Dance tickets are $5.00.
Cathy Williams, director of ticket sales said, “We still have lots of tickets available, but it is wise to order now if you have a group or want specific locations. Tickets for “Xtreme Bulls” are selling quickly.”
