Excellence in Education Award nominees sought

Is there a Bend-La Pine Schools teacher, administrator, school psych, or counselor who has impacted your life or your child’s life in a special way? If so, The Excellence in Education presenting sponsor, Mid-Oregon Credit Union, invites you to nominate this exceptional individual for the 2013 Excellence in Education Award.

The winning recipients will be candidates for Bend-La Pine Schools’ Teacher of the Year and Oregon Teacher of the Year awards.

“Our children are our greatest asset, and the educators who work with our children have a profound impact in the direction they take in life, we feel that these exceptional individuals deserve to be recognized for the work they do with our children,” said Kyle Frick, vice president of Mid-Oregon Credit Union.

“If you know of an educator who consistently demonstrates “service above self” both inside the classroom and elsewhere, and who performs in an exceptional and significant manner which has left a positive indelible mark on you or your child, this educator deserves to be recognized,” adds Frick.

Nomination forms for the Excellence in Education awards, presented by Mid-Oregon Credit Union, are available at your neighborhood school, at the Bend-La Pine Schools’ Education Center at 520 NW Wall in Bend and at www.bend.k12.or.us.

The deadline for submitting nominations is April 19, 2013 at 3pm.
